Martin D. Reggi has 32 years of legal experience practice in both the private and public sectors and will be a credit to the judiciary. Martin D. Reggi was raised in the Western Suburbs. attending Morton East High School, graduating in 1970. He studied Biology at Loyola University of Chicago and upon graduation completed coursework towards a Masters of Science. But the legal profession spoke to him, so Martin went to enroll at The Lewis College of Law (Now known as Northern Illinois University College of Law), graduating in 1979. He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar the following year.
In 1980 he was hired by then mayor Richard M. Daley as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney where he worked in the Appeals, Traffic, Misdemeanor/Felony Division at Maywood Fourth District and Bridgeview Fifth District courts. These five years of prosecution formed the foundation for his legal career. In 1985 he founded his own general practice located in Berwyn, Illinois, where he remains today.
Martin D. Reggi married his childhood sweetheart Allyson Steinke and together they have raised seven children: Martha, a lawyer for Wilson Elser Moskowitz; Bianca, a copywriter of Ogilvey, Mather Advertising; Nanci, an event consultant with Classic Party Rental; Martin Jr., a senior at University of Illinois Champaign Urbana; Mia Reggi, a sophomore, at University of Illinois Champaign Urbana; Christopher, a senior at Fenwick High School; and Amelia, a freshman at Fenwick High School. Martin and his family are members of St. Mary of Riverside Parish.
